Tybee Island Sand Fencing Project | November 18, 2017

On November 18, 2017, the City of Tybee's Beach Task Force Committee will be installing sand fencing to promote plant growth that will rebuild sand dunes damaged by Hurricanes Matthew and Irma. Volunteers are needed to dig holes for post, install fencing, and place wrack around the fencing. Volunteers should bring posthole diggers, pitchforks, tarps, gloves, cordless screwdrivers, and a can do attitude. Volunteers should contact Cathy Lewis at clewis@cityoftybee.org. Meet at 14th Street Beach Crossover from 9am to Noon.
