Jekyll Island Green Screen Movie + Beach Clean Up

Join Surfrider Foundation - Georgia Chapter on Jekyll Island, GA for "Film, Cocktails and Conversation for our Coastal Community" on Saturday, February 21; and on Sunday, February 22, join us and the Georgia Sea Turtle Center in collaboration with their Marine Debris Initiative, for an on-island beach sweep to help keep our beaches clean to protect habitat for sea turtles and nesting shorebirds by collecting and bagging debris along the beach.

Saturday evening the "EcoFocus Film Festival presents The Jekyll Island Green Screen" starts at 4p.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.

Then fight off the early morning with a complimentary sunrise yoga class at Great Dunes Beach Park from 7:15 - 8:15. You can bring your own mat or you can practice with sand between your toes, too :)

Immediately afterward we will conduct a beach sweep and clean up. Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting sandy/dirty, bring sunscreen, a hat and a reusable water bottle - we will provide bags, and bring gloves if you have them.

Chapter members will be camping at the Jekyll Island Campground on Friday and Saturday night.
