180 South Movie Night at Patagonia Atlanta

Come out to a Surf Adventure Movie Night on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 to see 180 Degrees South at 7:30pm sponsored by Patagonia Atlanta. Surfrider Foundation will be there also. After seeing footage of a 1968 roadtrip made by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and friends from Southern California to Patagonia, a young American adventurer named Jeff Johnson spent the next 10 years dreaming of following their footsteps. In 2007, Jeff dropped everything to finally fulfill his dream. Setting sail on what would become a six-month traverse of North and South America, he hoped to find unclimbed mountains and unridden waves. But as he traveled, his eyes opened to the environmental disasters that threaten these special places, and those who are working to save them.
