On Saturday November 1, join Chapter activists as we clean our most local body of water in Atlanta - the beautiful Lake Clara Meer located in the heart of Piedmont Park.
The site of countless walks, meditations, duck and goose interactions, and wedding and television promotional photo shoots, the lake and its shores really take a beating during the always-crowded festival season in the park. The Georgia Chapter has made cleaning this lake an annual tradition that really helps maintain the health of this body of water.
DETAILS: Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and a little wet; bring work gloves, waders, trash grabbers and a hat; ladies, put your hair up for the day
WHERE: Piedmont Park, Lake Clara Meer - Meet at the bridge on the East side of the lake; Park at the Sage Parking Facility in the park, accessible from Monroe Drive, at the Park Tavern parking lot at the SouthEast corner of the park, or on various surface streets surrounding the park
WHEN: 12pm to 2pm; drinks/food/fellowship to follow immediately afterward at Park Tavern
