Known as Georgia’s “Little Amazon,” the Altamaha is a mighty river. It drains the second largest watershed on the east coast into the Atlantic Ocean at a rate of over 100,000 gallons per second. Join the Georgia Conservancy on March 22 – 24 to explore the lower Altamaha, introducing first-time visitors to one of Georgia’s greatest treasures and welcoming returning paddlers to this second annual paddling and camping adventure.
Surfrider Foundation members who are stand up paddling this trip will receive a $25 discount. The Surfrider Foundation event page is HERE.
